Vivo has launched the X500 in China with the Dimensity 9600M, a 6.59-inch 144Hz OLED display, 7,500mAh battery and a 50MP + 64MP + 50MP Zeiss camera system. Prices start at ¥5,499.
Dimensity 9600M
The X500 uses MediaTek's 3nm Dimensity 9600M:

The CPU configuration and maximum 4.21GHz clock are unchanged from the Dimensity 9500 used in the X300.
6.59-inch 144Hz OLED
The X500 has a 6.59-inch flat OLED with 2750 × 1260 resolution and Visionox VM9 material.
Specifications include 144Hz LTPS refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling, 4,000-nit brightness at 20% APL, 6,000-nit local peak, 2160Hz PWM/DC-like dimming and an 8,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The X300 had a smaller 6.31-inch 2640 × 1216 120Hz OLED.

The camera system also includes Zeiss T* optics and full-range zoom flash. Compared with the X300, Vivo replaces the 200MP main camera with a 50MP LYTIA 828, while the telephoto camera increases from 50MP to 64MP. Maximum video resolution increases from 4K to 8K.
7,500mAh battery
The X500 uses a 7,500mAh Blue Ocean battery with:

- 40W wireless charging
- Reverse charging
- USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 5Gbps
The X300 had a 6,040mAh battery, so capacity increases by about 24%. Charging remains 90W wired and 40W wireless.

The biggest hardware changes are the 24% larger battery, 144Hz display, 64MP periscope and 8K recording. CPU peak frequency and charging speeds remain unchanged.
Other specifications
The X500 measures 157.01 × 74.49 × 8.15mm and weighs 211g, or 213g for the Night Photography version. It has an aluminum frame, cold-carved glass body and IP68/IP69 protection.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and IR. Other hardware includes a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual 1115 speakers, triple microphones and an X-axis linear motor. The phone runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.

The X500 starts ¥900 above the X300's ¥4,599 launch price. Global and Indian availability is expected to follow the Chinese launch.
