The flagship SoC combines new C2 CPU cores, a 12-core Mali G2 Ultra NX GPU, LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 storage support.
CPU: 2× C2 Ultra at 4.55GHz
The eight-core CPU uses a 2+3+3 configuration:
- 2× C2 Ultra @ 4.55GHz
- 3× C2 Pro @ 4.35GHz
- 3× C2 Pro @ 3.10GHz
The previous Dimensity 9500 used a 1+3+4 configuration, with one C1 Ultra core running at up to 4.21GHz. The 9600 Pro therefore doubles the number of Ultra cores from one to two and raises peak CPU frequency by 340MHz, or about 8%.

The efficiency gains are considerably larger than the raw performance increase. The key CPU upgrade isn't only +15–17% performance — it's achieving that uplift while cutting claimed CPU power consumption by as much as 61%.
Lower power consumption should help maintain higher clocks during sustained workloads such as gaming, emulation, video processing and local AI inference.
New 12-Core Mali G2 Ultra NX GPU
Graphics move from the 12-core Mali G1 Ultra MC12 in the Dimensity 9500 to a 12-core Mali G2 Ultra NX. The GPU core count remains at 12, meaning the generational improvement comes from the new GPU architecture rather than simply adding more cores. Sustained GPU clocks, performance per watt and Vulkan driver performance will be more important than peak GPU numbers.
LPDDR6 and UFS 5.0
The memory and storage subsystem also gets a full generational upgrade.

LPDDR6 increases available memory bandwidth for GPU and AI workloads, while UFS 5.0 provides a faster storage interface. These upgrades are particularly relevant for on-device LLM inference, high-resolution image and video processing, game asset streaming and other memory-intensive workloads.
What Changed From Dimensity 9500?
Dimensity 9600 Pro moves from 3nm to 2nm N2P, doubles the number of Ultra CPU cores, increases peak CPU frequency from 4.21GHz to 4.55GHz, introduces a new GPU architecture and upgrades the platform from LPDDR5X + UFS 4.1 to LPDDR6 + UFS 5.0.
CPU performance improves by 17% in single-core and 15% in multi-core workloads, while claimed power consumption drops by 37% for the Ultra cores and 61% under multi-core workloads.
The efficiency numbers are the more important upgrade: lower CPU power should translate into less thermal throttling and better sustained performance under continuous workloads.
